Rideau Hall, Canada Day’s new official site, will host a day of family celebrations on July 1st. In the morning, residents and visitors are invited to join families from across the country as they become new Citizens of Canada at a special ceremony. This ceremony will be presided over by Her Excellency, the Governor General of Canada and is presented by Citizenship and Immigration Canada as part of the 60th anniversary of Canadian citizenship.

The Bassalindos are heading to Jordan for a tour from June 28th to July 15th. The gala performance is to be held for the Canadian-Jordanian Business Association in association with the Canadian Embassy at Le Royal in Amman. Christine will also be giving a series of radio and television interviews throughout the tour.

NEW Postmodern Romantic compostions by Professor John Winiarz,(see his bio onsite in guests) who teaches music composition at Concordia University, will première his stunning new piece, featuring, Christine: El tango del amor- Hommage à Astor Piazzolla, written for voice, bandoneon, piano, violin, guitar and double bass. The performance is described as having been "fiery and electrifying."
